Leadership Team

Greetings Panther Families,

We are so excited and eager to start the 2024-2025 school year. I am Valerie Nelms-Harris, the new principal at Daniel Intermediate. I have 9 years of leadership experience within Duncanville ISD, most recently as the principal of Bilhartz Elementary, I have served as a campus administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels. My extensive background in campus leadership will ensure a smooth transition and continued success for our students. I am very excited to join the Daniel Family, and I look forward to getting to know students, families, and the community in the near future.

This year at Daniel, we will be focused on 3 Big Rocks:                                                                                                                                 

Safety - Ensuring that all students and staff are informed with expectations and procedures to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment

SEL - Social, Emotional, Learning

DDI - Data Driven Instruction and Student Outcomes

You will hear more about these overarching ideas and how students will be impacted, as we intentionally organize our practices around the ideas, throughout the school year.
