H. Bob Daniel

Henry “H. Bob” Daniel, Sr. was born in 1914 on a pioneer family farm in the Duncanville, Texas area. He attended Duncanville School and went on to graduate from Lancaster High School in 1933. Known for his dedication to local education and community, Daniel served on the Duncanville Independent School District Board of Trustees from 1949 to 1955. In recognition of his service, Duncanville ISD named H. Bob Daniel Sr. Intermediate School—serving grades 5 and 6—after him when it opened in 1988; the school was later renovated in 2004.

With the recent passage of the district bond, Daniel Intermediate is now being reconfigured as Daniel Elementary, ensuring that H. Bob Daniel Sr.’s legacy continues in a fresh phase of educational service.
